On October 31st we lost LCpl Thomas, a 22 year old active duty Marine from Tucson Arizona. His death has ripped apart his family, comrades, and anyone who had the honor of knowing him. Thomas honorably served as an 0341 Mortarman and squad leader with 1/4 Weapons Company and Alpha Company. Although he suffered multiple traumatic brain injuries during his time in service, he steadfastly carried onward alongside his brothers and sisters. He fought battles in Wounded Warrior Battalion with the same strength, resilience, and determination that characterized his entire Marine Corps career.
In addition to his service, Thomas will be remembered as a kind man with a deep faith in God, and an endless willingness to help anyone in need. He communed with a cause, lived with a full heart, and impacted every life he touched. He was a motorcyclist who enjoyed action sports, and the sensation of freedom they brought. He loved driving his grandfather’s truck and lived fearlessly, loyally, and selflessly.
Thomas became a Marine because he wanted to serve a cause bigger than himself, and he did. His is a legacy of loyalty and love for the people in his life. His family is now left to face the unthinkable: planning funeral services, handling unforeseen expenses, and processing intense grief. This donation was set up to help support them directly during this incredibly difficult time. All donations will go directly to funeral arrangements, memorials, and to help his loved ones through the painful times ahead.
Whatever you can give, and however you can support will ease the burden that is to be beared by his family and loved ones. Many have lost a man they called brother, friend, and hero. That man was LCpl Thomas, honor his legacy.
Fair winds and following seas Thomas, you are missed, you are honored.
Semper Fidelis.
